Liz & Buena, Wyoming, 2007

A true native, Liz has live in Washington her entire life. She spends her time with her husband raising an adorable little boy and revitalizing their 100+ year old farm in Enumclaw, WA.

Liz’s college years were spent at Western Washington University in Bellingham where she earned a B.A. in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design and Illustration.

Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom, she worked for many companies, most notably contracting at Microsoft for nearly 10 years where she became well-versed in computer-based design and art production, as well as photo retouching.

After leaving Microsoft in 1999, Liz worked for the small start-up Acadio.com in Seattle’s Pioneer Square before the dot-com collapse.

In 2000, Liz joined the team at OTSI where she worked on many projects, from web sites to book layout. The most prevalent projects work on at OTSI were a few series of books produced for Microsoft Press using the Adobe FrameMaker publishing platform.

Upon the arrival of her son in 2003 she slowly retreated from the general workforce to focus on raising her son and running the family’s farm. She still maintained a small freelance client base, with the most notable client being Horses For Clean Water. HCW projects have varied from the overall web site production, to The Green Horse e-newsletter, Tip Sheets, and various larger booklet pieces promoting environmentally sensitive horsekeeping practices.

Now that her son is getting older and the economy has taken a downturn, Liz is starting to take a more active role in contributing to the family’s financial future. She dabbled in making rhythm beads for horses and will be restarting that effort in earnest. Most importantly, she’s ramping up her graphic design and web site work by taking on new clients for various projects.

Please take a look around and consider using Liz for your next project!
